530 bhp per tonne on your first KH tracknight (first shot of a rear wheel drive car also) might be a touch much for anyone, especially if its me that picking up the bills for any errors

not the first time Claires driven an Elise though - either way, i think taking the Elise out first and moving up to the Atom is going to give Ali way more confidence. It is far harder to drive the Atom well than an Elise, and just like me, if Ali enjoys it, then the Atom is sure to follow.

Clare has driven it twice now at KH, and Ian once.
As Andy says though, a standard Elise would have been better for them than mine or his Atom, as they had never driven it on the road, and as most newbies admit it is pretty daunting when they go on for the first time, and they have thousands of miles in their car under their belts.
Going on track in a LHD car with 300hp with thirty others is probably not the best way to start, especially as other drivers would assume that I was driving, and being courteous, move over to the right.
However they manged quite well, especially once Clare had got the hang of braking as a corner loomed up.

Glad you all enjoyed it the other night, the Elises certainly seemed to be the quickest cars on track (well, maybe with the exception of the Porsche that fell off...). Well done for getting out there, your next trackday awaits

Not sure if they will do one again. In any case, it won't be this year.
Track Scotland day on 1st Nov may be good as its a 4 hours session and they don't charge for extra driver.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.
