I have a company that runs family entertainment centres / amusement arcades and have plenty of twin driving games available.

I would suggest Ferrari 355 as the game was actually made as a simulator. It was designed so a proper racing driver could beat your average arcade game expert. I can say this with some authority as........... it says so on the back of the seats. It is the most realistic of all the driving arcade games I have ever played. And I have had a shot on pretty much everything that has been released in the last 20 years. Ferrari themselves were involved in the development of the game.

I suggest - £5 entry and a knockout tournament. Winner takes home a crap plastic trophy that I will provide. And massive bragging rights! Practice sessions could be held beforehand and all cashbox takings could be donated to charity.

Event could take place either before/during/after the track day at knockhill if they would provide some space for it, from the back of the van at the after party, with the help of a mains extension or from a garage.

If there is enough interest I would be more than happy to set this up

Any ideas/crits welcome

Scott
Brilliant - Andy is away for a couple of days on business, but I'll have a chinwag the next time I see him and figure out how this would work best.

Let me know in advance so I can crack out the old Dreamcast

Sounds like a nice idea :)

Chris, though maybe a ps3, gt5 prologue and a couple of decent wheels is the way to go, has Elises too.

Although, maybe something like a Wii with plastic steering wheels and Mario Kart is more fitting to a fun night / tournament?

Just signed up.

Can you raise money in cash on the day?

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

What do you think should be the rate for 3-4 laps? I could to 20-30 of them. I doubt there will be so many takers though.

Anybody raise Sanj to force me to NOT wear the mankini? I think it'd be money well spent...
