I got to the road end at Kames before it started raining, and it rained like it had never done before. Good timing.

I quite enjoyed tonight, good to get back behind the wheel of a Lotus again, I was certainly rusty after a months away and proceeded with glacial pace on track. Thanks again to Kevin and Jamie. :thumbsup

Good wee session . . . first time I have been off at Kames . . .

Easy(ish) pace, about 89 sec laps, well over competition pace but the track and tyres were far too cold for real speed ;-)

Just a little fast for the conditions, over optomistic entry speed given the tyres on lap 1 and track temp . . . biggest concern was when the steering kicked, could have broken a thumb . . .

I was going to say your thumbs looked a bit vulnerable............................... if it is the same wheel I used I'd ditch it and get a suede one. I used to roughen my gloves up to try to get more grip, otherwise I did that thumb steering business.

Many happy days in that car, brings a tear to the eye.

I think I'll stop p*ssing about with sports cars and historics and get another R400....life's too short :D

Yeah it's a bad habit which I've been trying to stop . . . looking at the video it doesn't seem I'm being very successful . . .

another enjoyable night at Kames - glad the rain stayed at bay ... at least during the track session.

No problem with your pace on the way home Jamie .... I was glad to follow in those twilight conditions. Did you see that house? - it was well ablaze
Encountered just about the worst conditions I can remember just after joining the M74. Hail storm followed by torrential rain and flooding ... really couldn't see a thing. Not a lot of fun on Yoko 48s especially passing lorries without tail lights ( on 3 separate occasions! )
