Could I just book the first two tracks?

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

I would imagine not, these tracks will be limited numbers (unlike big tracks of Le Mans and Val de Vienne this year).
Also only open only to previous Frolic attendees, remaining places on 1st Nov opened up to other 'active' LoT members...

As Scotty says, you can always try.
Also there is the 'normal' French Frolic in August...

I've only done 3 TDs with LoT in the last year. I will see what Paul says......

But note that is only open to previous FF participants until 1/11/09 IIRC and then active LOT members next - if you haven't been on previous FF trips you'll have to wait until 1/11. If you haven't been on many or even any LOT days, it'll be a case of negotiating it with Paul. Given his limited presence in Scotland, and given the number of SE participants he has and the relatively small amount of grief we cause (if it weren't for Andy, I don't think there would have been a red flag in the last 2 years ;-)) I would expect him to be sympathetic to SE elises.

I think he'll be a little wary of unknown (to him) GT3RS, etc., as there is always a little bit of us-and-them friction at the Spa days he shares with another TD company that tend to bring many talent maskers, complete with limited talent drivers (from my biased point of view, of course).

Then again, it may all be moot as I expect it to mostly sell out before 1/11 anyway ...

Cheers,
Robin

P.S. That's 46 places and falling - 4:1 SE vs ROW if you ignore the organisers ...

Yes based on one room and one car. Can have 2 people sharing - e.g husband and wife pairings like Nicola and I or Tom and Ed...

Alternatively if you're a single driver willing to share hotel rooms you can 'buddy up' and one of you use the refund accomodation option (saving £250). Instead of £750 each it would then be £625 each...

Seriously, I don't blame him. I've been on a fair few of these sorts of trips over the last 10 years and I know how hard they are to organize. Also he's still on his best behaviour as far as Mas-de-Clos is concerned and will want to avoid the risk of (to him) unproven participants messing it up for him. He'll keep organising the trips for as long as people keep going, keep having fun and it isn't too painful for him - LoT doesn't make money as such!

If you want to play you should join LoT and do some LoT trackdays, pref at places like Cadwell, Donnie and Oulton as they're nearer home and carry more weight than the flat airfields.

There's still time to do that between now and the end of the year, certainly before the new-to-FF booking window opens.

Cheers,
Robin

Paul - SE - Scottish Elises, ROW - Rest of the World, 4:1 - 4 of one for every 1 of the other, GT3RS - Talent Masker, TD - trackday, LOT - Lotus on Track, the rest was in English I think :-) :-) :-)
