They seemed to me to kill the steering feel plus they always felt somewhat unsettled when cornering hardish to the point that I wasn't confident leaning on them.
At 900 miles you probably just missed on them coming good. They were never perfect, but at 1000 miles or so, they always seemed to firm up a bit. Not sure if it was tread depth going down or the construction firming up. Felt shyte for the first 1000 miles, always. Never going to be as good as the Neovas though (which were twice the money at the time)

That might explain it. Given how few miles I do in the car I'm not sure I want to wait 1000 miles before they come good each time I change tyres.

[predictable mode]

Leave it with me for a couple of weekends and the glory of the northwest Highlands will ensure your Toyos are nicely run in, sir!

[/predictable mode]

Actually if funds had allowed I'd probably have had the S1 Advan Neova size on UJI for years by now but Toyos at barely £200 a set were just an eye-watering steal. OK we can move on now, nothing else to see here!

Look forward to that Andy, as long as you turn off your TC if it is wet.

Dom, going even just for banter is well worth it. I did this several years ago...in fact I can hardly believe it but this was in 2003...

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

My plan is to go to the Chesire Tandoori in Northwich.

If we know numbers we could book a table, though to be honest I doubt they will be that busy on a Thursday.

Cheers,
Robin
