Webcam is working, can pick out Ali's 2-11 no problem, but must still be not completely dry as his last lap was 69 secs.

ps:- now down to 61 secs

A wee teaser from Gordon - why can he do a 360 and not stall the engine, I stall every time :?

A great day, thanks to John. Too cold to get the tyres working properly but felt I got the most out of the car some good laps towards the end.

Thanks for a great day john. My time is down to 1:12.8 which I don't think is to bad for a standard 1.6 mx5. Clarke managed 2 seconds faster so I have a target and can see where I need to improve. All in all a great day.

Oh BTW who was the guy in the red fiesta that kept spinning off?
Elise S - OMG its fast spec
Seat Leon FR+ Supercopa - BTCC Spec
MX5 Mk1 - turbo build spec

Another thanks to John, great day although a cold start.
Same problem with tyres. Took two or three laps to get the tyres working after sitting in the paddock.
All in all a good first outing for the year, hopefully the next one is bit warmer!

Watched you racing around Brian, not easy to distinguish cars, but reckon I got yours, Dave's, Ali, Craig's, and Mas.

Looked like Dave was doing about 61's, Ali just under at times, Mas around 63, Craig and yourself were not so easy to pick out.

They really could do with a better webcam lay out as opposed to just one, and better quality. My home ones are better than that. Will mention it to Stuart.

Knockhill has very poor data links, so multiple webcams would put even more strain on it. Also you'll probably find Stuart would prefer folks to turn up and pay entry rather than sit at home in front of the PC :-)

Good to catch up with everybody, fantastic day and a brilliant first outing for the Elise. Small bit of drama with a burst injector seal and so pick up on the disc's but apart from that the car behaved. We vid with Scotty driving.

I had good fun yesterday. Fuel consumption a bit of an eye opener - i never thought it would be an Elise but 75% a tank for circa 20 laps was a surprise

Brake fluid boiled 50 minutes into the session so although it cooled there was no real confidence in the middle pedal after that :( A few things to do before the next trackday :thumbsup

SIDC Knockhill Dates for 2013

Post by GregorFuk » Sun Mar 31, 2013 10:41 am

Had a great time in what was only my second track day. Even managed to get the Elise weighed at the scrutineering bay (760kg) which was a bonus. Need to build up more confidence in the corners.
