You would enjoy being well-driven round it, though. If you can spare the time to get over there on the Friday, I doubt you'll regret it.

Starting to sound like McKean now...

Absolutely, even just to spectate and be in the area or even just the car park. It's petrolhead heaven. Great atmosphere. 8)

My car is setup too low for Ring
Excuse number 189 :damnfunny

Change the set-up - youve got 2 months :damnfunny
:damnfunny

Heard it all now. If it can be driven on a UK road it can be driven on the Ring, no different, just stay out of the Karusell.

Tempted but the costs are escalating fast, and rumour has it he might be with us anyway in which case I was going to do a dodgy deal with him for some lap-by-lap instruction ;-)

I'll be aiming for some on track instruction as well - BAT have instructors available for £25 so I've booked a slot already. Having never done a walshy day and seeing as we're passing there anyway it seems an ideal opportunity, and the extra cost is minimal compared to if you make a trip down just for it.

For those doing a Walshy day on 11/11/10 (binary, anybody?), what's the plan for the Thursday night - stay in Englandshire somewhere (god, please don't make us go drinking with the insane Welshman - that can only end one way!!), or make a start on the crossing to France? Strangely, I'm inclined to stay in Englandshire near-ish the port (Ashford/Maidstone area), then a nice early-ish crossing on the Friday, cruise out to the ring (I would only want to do a few laps, so no rush to get there early for me).

Cheers,
Robin
