Knockhill has very poor data links, so multiple webcams would put even more strain on it. Also you'll probably find Stuart would prefer folks to turn up and pay entry rather than sit at home in front of the PC :-)
Purely selfish reasons Renny whilst sitting at home with a car in bits, watching it on the webcam. If they did upgrade they could turn off for the main events, and just leave them on for track days for nerds like me, which would not affect attendances.

Yeah I quite like the idea of being able to see various parts of the track through the webcams but would 100% expect them to be turned off at a paying event. If anything it will increase people's interest and help the track. Doesn't matter anyway as I can't see them running fibre anytime soon :D

True enough. Do you get wifi in your bath chair? :-)

A good day! Great to catch up with folks. :)

The 211 was great fun as always but some pad transfer so pansy on the brakes.
I also had a shottie of Mike's beast, great pace and very stable.

Oh so cold on the way down though...brrr.

With an Audi engine switchable in cockpit between 250 and 350hp, so quite a weapon and a bloody good driver.

He was around with his boys this afternoon as Charlene was socialising and changing nappies makes him feel ill, so he knows that clucky Verian will take over. He said that there was only one red flag, and that he caused it, arrived at Duffus, no brakes as his fluid had boiled, realised that if he turned in he had no chance, so went straight on, got away with it, and drove out. Never seen that before.

Mind you I taught the boy well, so he did me proud.

I really had a great day, got some video which I've never done before. Its upsetting how inconsistent I was, later in the day (although after my excursion) I was much slower but suspect nerves were to blame. If I can work it out there's quit a good run with a gtr for a few laps, most of the vid is from the pits so need to cut that out first.
Red flag was because of the throttle cable so sorry about that, wasn't long though in getting recovered though. My cross country run at duffus wasn't too bad as I had sufficient momentum to get back on track!

Its actually an Elise with the Motorsport kit on it so not quite so valuable for tracking :D Was its first run yesterday so ironing out all the issues but all in all she did really well.

Did the 2 of you get out together? Must be quite evenly matched cars?

Nice to catch up with everyone. Took over 10 pax and did 100 laps

The DS2500 pads lasted well. The Federal tyres performed ok in the dry. A little less grip than the R888 but much cheaper at 500 GBP for the whole set instead of 900 GBP for the Toyos. The C2 might do 60 seconds lap with the R888 and no sideways.

It was great to be in Craig's car. Made me laugh when he told me he ONLY has 300bhp :damnfunny Enjoyed the drive, thanks Craig.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Followed the build thread of your car on exiges.com. Glad it's come north. Might get to see it in the flesh some day :thumbsup

Great fun yesterday, really enjoyed the condtions as the wet patches made it more interesting  Little bit rusty as its been a few years since i was on track in a RWD car....infact it was my Elise!

My £15 pikey rear pads last a grand total of about 200 miles and now through to the backing plate! Ordered a set of DS2500 as was very impressed with them on my Trophy. Also might need to invest in some new suspension to as the dampers are getting a little tired

Great fun anyway and looking forward to the next :thumbsup

Thanks as always to John for organising consistently the best trackdays :thumbsup Excellent track etiquette, and a surprisingly clear track!

Yesterday was a lot of fun trying to get the hang of the Caterham. Apologies to anyone inconvenienced by any of my spins  I don't think I've spun that many times in total in 7 years of trackdays... I didn't think I was even pushing it especially when it went, cold tyres and a distinct lack of traction really didn't help. The car felt quicker than I was expecting though, just need a few more outings to feel confident with it.

It was nice to see a few other SE'ers up, although sadly the closed pit garages meant it was harder to find everyone. I must also say thanks to Mass for some entertaining passenger laps in the 911
