Gordon always seemed too fast on the straights at KH, despite his ability, for his car to be putting out 118hp.
In fact he joined in on a group R/R session, and he had 136hp. However that was still a fair bit less than many of the rest of us had.

And the great thing was that he hadn't spent money doing silly things to the engine to get that power....
He'd maintained it meticulously, fitted a foam element in the airbox, heat-wrapped the exhaust and it had a sports backbox. Then all he did was change the oil every 3k miles and drive it like he stole it.
Just goes to show that it's the details that count...

I read their figures as the other war round.
Actual performence as measured by them was down on the stated figures, around 9% for both engines.

Yep, the other closest was 29 or so miles so there wasnt much in it. Decided on that one because its on the A1 and i thought it was a reasonable place for people to meet from both North and South.

ps, what's the feeling about after the trackday. 5 hours is a long drive after an all day on track. we could find the nearest travelodge with a bar and crash overnight. share a room at £25 each aint too bad.
thoughts anyone??
