I want her to meet a millionaire with a Ferrari collection so that they can look after me in my old age whilst I have some fun.

Most likely the tyres if they are T1r's.

Had the same thing when i put them on my 111r and was gutted at how sh*t they were. Great in the rain though

I am f*ck!n gutted, Car feels like the wheels are coming off at the front, the wobble is that bad! Feels dangerous at speed. I am 90% sure it's the wheel balancing that's out, the car felt fine going in for new tyres, (also proxies but worn), and came out feeling terrible. They've, (FairDeal at Crossgates), got loadsa weights stuck all over the front wheels, which is probabaly why if feels like the wheels coming off.

I am going to take the car to another garage to get the front wheels balanced tomorrow morning, I was going to wait until Sat for Wheels Around, but I just can't stand driving any more like that.

What tyres do you guys recommend..? The proxies felt great before, just really worn & starting to slip...

Cheers,
Pete :D

Folks,

Anyone from Glasgow (ish) heading up in a convoy tomorrow? Coming along to watch and grab pax laps and just wondered who else was heading up? Could meet at Drivers at Charing Cross. Let me know what time suits those who are on track.

I take it Ronnie from Wheelsaround will be there? My balancing is out, so might get him to balance my wheels again for me after the initial rush of tyre fitting before the trackday starts.

Cheers,
D

If the wobble is that bad it could be the balancing.

My t1r's just felt squidgy for want of a better term.

I'll be interested to see if the Atom's rear 48's last tomorrow! I've managed 1500 miles so far :D

If anybody needs a cheap set of AO38s for the trackday, please see my ad in Classified, I have 8 for sale, which I will have in the trailer at KH tomorrow if any body wants them? Ideal for trackday use (Although not if its P*ssing with rain!!)

Well I took the car to National Tyres in Dunfermline this morning, and, the wheels were overweighted by 350 grammes!! 200g on the o/s, and 150g on the n/s, f*ck!n unbelievable. I might go back to Fair Deal Tyres in Crossgates, and ask why they were trying to kill me!

BTW National Tyres in Dunfermline did a great job re-balancing the wheels for me, and at NO charge. The guys there are great, highly recommended. :thumbsup

See you all 2mrw for the whacky races :D

Great Day guys,

Thoroughly enjoyed my first Lotus Track Day @ KH today, great bunch of guys, real friendly & the track etiquette was ace. I know I was slow round the track, but just let the guys past on the straights & when I could, & in return they were patient & waited until I moved over for them. Fantastic Fun :thumbsup

I really want to learn how to get thro those bends quick..? I just couldn't get thro quick enough..I might go up for some 1 to 1 training before the next SIDC day. :D

Cheers,
Pete
