On the very 1st SIDC day i attended in 2002 they had novice stickers for the back window of the car. It might not be a bad idea as it would encourage the quicker guys to give a novice a bit more space. Its sometimes difficult to tell wheather someone is a novice or just has not noticed you.

Not sure if I'll make it (work dependant) but I've signed up anyway. Should be a great day

Daughter Emma in her Cooper S Works, wants to sign up for this if possible as her first track day. Would you guys be happy at that or would you prefer not to have newbies? I would also like to get instruction for her. Maybe Mcape could offer his services?

Cheers

Paul

I've just donated £60 to this, not sure if I will be home for it or not but its all for a good cause so not bothered either way. Hopefully I can make it, sound like its going to be a cracking day!

Hey Paul, maybe you should talk to / put her in touch with Erica @ Raspberry (cosmicegg on here). She did her first track day (when I did mine) in her mx5 with the SE lot at the Knockhill Speedfair weekend. I'm sure you'd spoken to both of us on the day. She loved it, though did say it was a bit irritating having to pull over pretty much all the time to let all the quicker cars past. She also thought the 2 hour session was a better introduction than a full 4 hour SIDC one would be, though neither of us have done 4 hours yet!

Now to convince Erica to make her 2nd track appearance / first in the vx...

I have always managed to get a bed @ Andy's. There are loads of very large bean bags that people tend to fall asleep on :thumbsup

Bollocks, you beat me to it.

Forgot to ask Andy if he had a spare one. I had the sofa last time.

Andy's still on hols - but I'm sure ample crashing space will be available. There are also some hotels pretty close, but you'd have to ask the folks who stayed in them last time (aye, like I'll remember who they were!)

I guess there's also the back lawn if some are daft enough to want to put a tent up?

I passed out on the sofa last year (wasn't even supposed to be staying  ) and awoke to the playboy channel at 5am :D

I would like to point out that I didn't put the playboy channel on
