Does anyone on this site ever book KH for a track night?

Post by ikarl » Fri Sep 21, 2007 10:28 am

Was wondering if a track night is ever arranged by anyone on this site?

I've seen and been to the ones arranged by SIDC and SAROC............!

Was hoping to get another session in before the end of the year and don't really fancy the 'Speed Sunday' events

Brunty used to organise a couple but unfortunately the last few had to be cancelled due to lack of numbers. :(

I've done it as have many others . . .

Phone up KH, ask them what times are available . . .

Pick one, pay (usually closer to the event itself) . . . then get all the punters that said they would come to cough up and actually come . . . ;-)

No special rules . . .

I arranged tt myself, but as Fergus says, anyone can hire the track if it is available.

I was pretty sure of getting at least 50 cars, which at £98 for a four hour Friday session, I needed to cover the £4,800 cost, and the SIDC days are always fully subscribed, but I would not take the risk of putting one on otherwise.

As mentioned above, anyone can book an event. Just a case of finding out what slots are available and how much they want for that slot.

In recent years, the prices have jumped a bit, particularly off-season as there is much more demand for track time these days with corporate and other events.

It's then just a case of deciding if you can get enough people to make the event viable/affordable. Even though our events are normally fully subscribed, I've taken the option of a quick survey for our one on the 24th November to see if there is sufficient interest before confirming the booking.
