AMP3 trackday - excellent!

Post by rossybee » Fri Oct 19, 2007 6:55 pm

Just like to say huge thanks to Shug/Andy/AMP3/Archos and whoever else was involved in this today :thumbsup

The weather was fantastic, and the driving standards were most excellent, even more so when you take the relatively high newbie count into consideration - and all for a good cause too! 8)

The Snot was performing nicely, plenty heat getting into the tyres thus allowing plenty sideways tomfoolery (Thanks for the waves Gareth from the pitwall   ) - only had one very brief off and that was purely down to avoidance of another 7 doing a bit of showboating exiting the hairpin (I used the gravel to escape any contact) - you know who you are!

Gutted I can't make tonight's pishup, as I'm quite partial to a drop of Stella on occasions  - wife said "next time" - is there gunna be a next time boys?

Brilliant drifting Ross...I tried it twice...and twice I ploughed the fields.
Apart from that, The Toxic Frog was running mega. Had some fun laps with Tut and I even gave Scotty a shot....I think he may of liked it...

Thanks to all that organised...oh..and surely Simon won the award for spin of the day? :P

Well, that was fun :D :thumbsup

I'll add my thanks to Shug and Andy for a great day and to all of you that tried to calm my nerves before heading out on the track!! I cant believe it's taken me three and a half years to get round to it, had a great day though.

Thanks Scotty for the instruction and passenger laps -awesome 8) A lot of practise required for me, but at least I know what I should be trying to do now. Need to try using those pedal things a bit more!!

Apologies to anyone I might've held up  That includes Kenny who had me as ballast for a few laps near the end - cheers dude, was great

I had a great day too, was really happy with my driving and my car was going really well. Had my first ever spin in the dry at KH today, which was a result of trying just a little too hard at the chicane :)

Great day, big thanks to Shug and Andy for organising such a great event :thumbsup

Nice to meet a few more people (meatball, Nizzy, Lee, Neil, Noops and a few more!), as well as the regulars, driving standards were good and I hope the beginners will all be back :D

I got a decent amount of footage on the bullet cam, but sadly Movie Maker (Vista  ) is refusing to play :x
