Had a blast today :D

Left the house at 3.30 this morming, was going to go down last night, but never got the car finished till 5.30pm,so no point.

Arrived at 08.45,just missed the briefing.

Soon got out on track, which was quiet,only30 cars, and was so happy with the car.I done a lot of work on it last week, fitted my protek shocks ,brake fliud changed,Toyo R888,s fitted, alterator fitted and rewired,Std crank pulley refitted, along with lots of other wee things.

The 888,s are fantastic, loads of grip, and progressive if you get it wrong, the car felt so good, and the brakes were awsome, now the front wheels have enough grip to use them properly.

Cadwell was even better than I remembered it as well,it IS worth the drive down, and has to be done.

However,my car eat another altenator, broke the main charge plate, around the stud, same as the last one, also broke the small wire, which I had fixed and got out for a few more laps.Still got in 130miles before it all went pair shaped,so not a total loss.

Home now,18 hour round trip,700 miles.............saved on the B+B 8)

Shed made it there and back (although various repairs required).

Didn't do the full endurance event like Stu! Went down on the Monday and stayed outside York (also Nicola and the outlaws in support vehicle).

Morning went well, just getting up to speed in the shed but split a hose halfway up park straight. I dived off onto the grass pdq (especially quickly as I thought it was on fire!) but it was coolant wazzing onto the manifold.

Hitched a lift with Stu to the garage for repair materials but my jinx meant his alternator wire had failed and battery dead when we got there!
Managed to repair it...thanks to the Volvo garage at the Total station in Louth (lent tools, crimps, spare battery etc).

Anyway, eventually back to the circuit. The top hose was split right at the T so impossible to trim/bypass but managed to patch it up (literally) with a cycle repair kit and duct tape...

Not all the track time I'd hoped for - just about getting up to speed when it failed but still a great day.

Made it back to York again that night and headed up the road on Wed only to have issues with the Emerald which seemed to be firing one of the fuel injectors even with the engine off! Thanks to the phone guru's (Stu and Robin) for diagnosis and help! Anyway, limped home on the MEMS...
