Chris, Andy has given you the recommended pressure for AO48s - that's probably too low for the tyres I think you've got. I assume by Advans, you mean you've got the standard Yokohama Advan AD07s that come on all Elises. In that case, your recommended pressure from Lotus is 27.5R, 26F. I used to run 26R, 25F on the road. Start with that and see how they are after a few laps, then you'll probably take a couple of PSI out of them. I used to find the AD07s beaded a bit in the middle at those pressures, but removing a couple of PSI soon sorted it on track. :thumbsup

Dont have experience of the S2, but i would tend to agree with Andy G on this one. The elise is very sensitive to tyre pressures, and will lose grip quickly if they are too high. Dont forget to let them down during the day as they get hotter and hotter.

If you need any help on the day, just gimme a shout, happy to help out

Hi Dezzy

Thats too high for 48's on track. Thats what i would run these tyres at, 22f 24R, which is you are working the car, should come up to temp in 1 lap max i would have thought.

A048's, probably 18F 20R. If you want maximum track performance (this will increase wear). My 111r was usually 20/21F and 23R.

Atom is running 15F 16R incidentally :D

RLC was at 15F 16.5 R

Agreed . . . and Chris has not got 48s . . . so that's why I told him the pressures for the tyres he's got (AD07s)! :P :D

I use 22F and 24R on AD07 to start. Normally have to let them down after a few laps especially front n/s. Any higher and the tyres feel as if they're melting and move about too much. Standard Lotus pressures are too high IMHO

I know that mate - what i was saying was that your recommendation was way to high for 48's on track  :thumbsup

Should have made that clearer
