Just wanted to say a massive thanks to Ed for trusting me in the drivers seat of his Exige for a few laps. Realy impressed with the car. Loads of grip, 2nd cam is mental, stage 2 still has me smiling. Alot different to drive than the old S1

. You Exige boy's have got it easy

And a big appology to Dave for getting all exited when paxing with him and screaming "DONT BRAKE" "RUN IT IN FASTER" and other faster, faster comments.

Totally brilliant day. Fantastic flowing track. Can really balance and play with the car on the throttle through the fast sweepers. Good mix of corners too. Really gets the heart racing. Overall good driving standard and good mix of cars. Would go back in a minute.

Yep I'd go back but I think I'd grudge paying any more than £89 for it. All that stuff about how it's a non-profit place etc. is fair enough but if it had p!ssed down yesterday I don't think it would've been much fun.

I had some good laps with other people mostly Andy G, DDTB and Ed, wish I'd had a camera to film it with.

I have to make a special mention for Ed and his outstanding 80mph slide through the 1st corner after the track entrance

Si, Watching you push it to the limit (and then nearly run out of track) through that same corner (as Ed's slide) was tremendous!

Shug deserves a special mention for taking enterainment to a new level. We scithed through the traffic for 6 laps, and not once did he enter a corner in a vaguely straight line

Following him was hilarious!

Some great driving today I though, apart from Miss Daisy in the Chimera who seemed to take it as a personal challenge to hold people up

Looking forward to seeing the video footage when i get a chance to edit it.

Ended up having a few pints and debrief last night, with Ed, Tom & DDTB. Tatters!

Looked like you were having fun. I was planning on turning up around lunchtime but got horribly delayed at a job and then got very very lost on the way to the track.

Shame the pitlane was only opening every hour or so, we just missed a closure when we turned up and then had to stand around in the freezing cold waiting for the next one!

......the realised once i was in I wouldnt be able to get back out for another hour so had to head for home.

Was impressed by Mr four wheel drift (aka Shug) at the first corner

NEED to get back on track soon !

apart from the odd mobile chicane the driving was good

nipped to the sunday market today seems you picked the right day

a lot of boy racers in cozis etc

Have figured that the reason I'm slow over a lap atm is that the single yellow compund maxies just don't have the grip. I've geo'd the car in the past week and it was as good as it was gonna get.

True to form, it handled beautifully - let go at whatever end I wanted, but there wasn't the overall grip level (compared to Gordon, who was on his particular combination of Advans and The Force!

). So, I just used the day to hoon!

Car was soooo controllable in the slide, just turn in hard, let the back break away and wait till it was the angle you wanted it, then apply throttle and ride it out.

Only downside is that the engine used 2L of oil through the day.... Will have to investigate and see if there's a leak, or (as I suspect) it definately has got big bottom-end issues.

Facking fun track though. Echo what Gordon says about the track being great to play with car balance.

Elaine loved it too. Was impressed that she got so good so quick. First time ever driving the Elise and only her second ever time on a track and I was well chuffed with her lines and technique. She even managed to spin it and then (the next time she went out) had the cojones to catch a third gear slide... Class bird

Glad you enjoyed it Gordon, cheers for my pax laps, maybe one day ill be able to drive my car like you drive yours!!

My spin was caused because i was chasing si and partly cause i forgot to put on my glasses and missed the breaking point

took too much speed into the corner and round she came. Was chuffed that i managed to catch it. Did however require a change of underwear.

Was a brilliant day out and will definently sign up for future events. Cheers Ed

Good day had by all then. Chasing Shug was fun. Could see you were really struggling for grip matey. Car did seem a bit down on power compared to cadwell as you didn't seem to be pulling anything on the straights now. Maybe just down the the blatant lack of drove out the corners

And me in my usual banzai maximum attack mode.

Si looked to be getting the best out these new Advans and looked way quicker than i've ever seen him

Gave Ali a shot of my car to get a second opinion on the set up and handling as i've spent way too many hours working it out and getting it set up how i like. Exept he took my offer with both hands and stayed out for what seemed like 20laps!!!!!

I'm sure it's gonna blow up soon as it seems to be getting quicker. This seems to be a special little K thats been flung in the back of mine

. Car felt really good though. Seems to have loads of grip, but slightly loose and the rear, and is easily balanced on the throttle. East Fortune has made me realise how crap KH is. I love the fast sweepers. Knockhill just isn't as flowing as that.

Sorry for using all you fuel matey, I'm sure it was only 10 laps or so...

It was great fun but I also wanted to build up slowly to the limits. Very friendly, excellent ultimate grip, nice, edgy setup. Turn in is good after a wee delay (maybe tyres compared to my A048s) and quite a lot of roll. Needs to be driven properly where the Exige just makes things easy. Engine is real torquey and pulls really well at the top end for a std. K.

I think I did the same when Kelvin gave me a shottie of his Honda'd Elise...

Was up for a while watching but it was too bloody cold and I couldn't be arsed going into the paddock to get locked in for the next four hours. Headed off to Dastek with Andy as he put his new WR1 on the rolling road at the SIDC day.

Glad everyone had fun, have read some comments from a few others that were not all that impressed.
Don (Black CTR from TRS) got black flagged several times. Reasons included, being too loud, being competitive, driving too fast WTF!! got told not to rev his car to 8000rpm or he would be chucked off.

There are rules and then there is the plain bloody daft
