After having another great day down in Ayrshire at Kames

I'm planning to book up another kames day for the 10th of Aug.
It will be limited to 15 cars which will work out at £40 for the day ( plus £20 for the eacc membership if you dont have one)which means we should be able to squeeze in a lot more runs than the first SE day. I got about 20 runs yesterday on a 25 car day, so we should get a bit more time on track with 15 ( apart from ddtb who's car is likely to blow up the day before )
Will be confirming and paying for the day later in the week so will need definite numbers by Tues and cash if possible at the Kames day on the 21st

Biggest problem with kames is going to be striking the balance between numbers and cost. we've obviously got enough interested parties to fill it many times over.
other ideas (not for the 10th) were to do a sat and sunday with camping inbetween and / or having a full day less 1 / 2 hours and then having a taster session for newbies in that 1 / 2 hours.
thoughts?

Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.
....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

TBH with a limit of 15 slots for the day it was always going to be oversubscribed. 15 was discussed as a good balance between cost and track time, anyone who went on the first SE day to kames will agree that running over 20 cars leaves far too much time waiting around.
If the demand is there for another day in August I'm sure EACC would be more than happy to give us another date for anyone who missed out on this one

Will check available slots this week
A double header camping weekend was also brought up as good way to get as many on track as possible combined with a social event in the evening

I'd definitely be up for the Sat/Sun thing with overnight camping

BBQ and beers after a day on track
Can't do 10th August as we'll be off on our European road trip, but would be up for a weekend slot in July or first weekend in August. Or even September if the weather ain't too bad.

Suppose so
I was thinking of the weekender thing as an opener for next year more than a closer for this, but I'm happy to look at pulling something together sooner if the demand is there. Think it'd be a good idea; we'd have the track 9 until 9 both days so long as we had two first aiders at all times (the EACC committee supply the first aiders... but they might not want to be there all that time i'm thinking), camping is free at the track, we'd have the canteen running both days, the new civilised toilets & showers are in and the caravan park just before Kames has a bar. The cost would be the same asany other day's hire for each day. I'll consider a few more of the details, then open a seperate thread. Like the donkey says if we'd the track that long we could have sessions to fit more on, though the numbers would still be fairly restricted.

The numbers seem to be going up - stick mrahead down for 10th Aug too.....he's got the sprinting bug after Saturday! He's going on 21st anyway so will bring cash then.
Weekender seems like a good idea too - will discuss with him and will let you know........99% sure we'll be there so I'll volunteer my services free of charge on 10th Aug too for photos! Keeps me busy!
