RMA 'Ring days

Post by Tim S » Wed Jul 16, 2008 12:25 pm

I'm sorely missing the 'Ring this year. Haven't been at all, and no chance during the summer (baby2 due next week  ). Just been looking at the opening times during the autumn and there's only one or two weekends when there's a good Sat - Sun - Mon opening, to make the trip worthwhile, and those weekends will presumably be mobbed.

So, I got looking at the RMA days. 2 full days, for £800. This is certainly plenty of money, but I might just about be able to convince myself that it's worth it. Except: they're in November, so I reckon a fair chance of rain/sleet/snow/fog spoiling all the fun.

What's the reckoning on the chances of actually getting any decent track time?? Worth it, or not??

Thoughts please!

Thanks

Tim

I 'think' 2 out of the last 3 years, they have been snowed off. 1 year it was absoltely fantastic. Huge gamble.

Very pretty pic, Ali, but presumably not why you went there. Mind you, maybe the snow gave whoever laid the tracks an excuse for having such a bad line on the approach to Brunnchen...

That was the year we went with Lotus-on-track in November and I said "It won't snow". Of course it promptly did :-(

Its proper expensive though, although the thing putting me off is logistics. I need the car to be fully fixed and working for FF7, i dont want to break it again just beforehand.
