It's such a long way to go for just 2 hrs with HM - are Speed Sundays really that bad?

They cone off the approach to corners to avoid 3 abreast driving in braking zones.

I think its sessioned and fairly short at that. Even sorter when someone bins it and it's red flagged.

It's a shed fest.

You have to wait forever till the next session.

Did I mention it's a shed fest.

Track etiquette is non existant.

It's a shed fest.

Plus points:
sometimes ropey birds get their baps out.

Whatever happened to the Team Gimp video? Seems to have been removed from web unfortunately. It was a fine example of Speed Sunday action.

Almost all were removed after outrage and ridicule on every car forum in the UK, I think users on Pistonheads even comlplained to the MSA and Knockhill were in danger of losing their insurance cover IIRC.

My first ever trackday was a Hot Hatch Day (now the Speed Sundays) before it got really bad - spent weeks prepping an XR2i and on the first lap some t1t in a ropey old XR2 drove into me when he dived down the inside and tried to pass going into a corner. Back in the paddock he tracked me down to reminisce about how awesome it was when he hit me...

My wheel bearing collapsed shortly afterwards so I survived the rest of the day. Quite glad really.

Avoid.

 An idiot.

You must be the new owner of JJ's old exige. It was good to see you track it on SIDC day :thumbsup

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.
