Not to keen on the drive in the 2-11

Most of the S_E regulars don't go to sessioned trackdays.

Tut, I did this trackday last year and despite it being sessioned it was good to get on track between Chrimbo and New Year when there's very little else to do.

Scotty, get a tow bar on the 330 and tow the 2-11. :thumbsup OR I'll drive the 2-11 down for you.

I'm surprised they're running track days over winter - I would have thought they would be ripping up the track in preparation for putting down the F1 track ... could be one of the last track days on the old circuit!

I'll be being domestic down south with the families, so no chance of me being there ... Oulton Park in February could be fun - here's hoping it's wet!

Cheers,
Robin

Paul Golding would like to come upto KH with LOT, but the prices that they are quoting him make it none viable. It would also need to be combined with another track, ie Oulton or Cadwell to get the Englanders to make the journey.

I am going to speak to Stuart Gray, he owes me a couple of favours, to see if I can get it for a whole day, preferably a Friday, for a price that Paul could sell places for. However when we paid less than £100 for Oulton and Snetterton, it is going to be difficult to match that.

However worth trying, and I also thought that if we could get them up here, if it was on a Friday, most of them would not have driven the Scottish roads, so we could offer them the opportunity to do a tuttowers type run on the Saturday by staying at a Fort William or Ballachulish Hotel on the Friday night.

We would probably need a good turnout from SE to ensure numbers, but a whole day at KH for a good price combined with Oulton and a road run on our own turf could make it a different type of event.

Will start the ball rolling and see if it is a possibility.

Good idea Tut.

Yes, Croft got to be included. Bumpy but I liked it

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

None yet Don. Just spoke to Gemma at KH to put it into motion.

I have asked for an early/late price, and also for mid season, but the actual dates if it comes off would be down to Paul, as he would have to fit it in with his other events, many of which would have allready been booked for next year.

Apart from trying to get a knock down price from KH, the rest of the track bookings/arrangements/hotels would be down to Paul, but I would be happy to organise the road run side of it and the Hotel for Friday night after we leave KH.

Paul would probably need to know that he could get a healthy English contingent to sign on if it came to fruition, but I am pretty sure that I could get a lot of interest from S_E as per tuttowers, as it does not involve driving down to Dover, then a Channel crossing followed by hundreds of boring miles on French roads.

If we could do it at anything like the prices that we paid for the tracks on DP, then we could do three for the price of one BAT or Easytrack day at Oulton. 65 cars is no problem at KH especially for a whole day, likewise the other longer tracks, that is the usual number that I have had for my own two and four hour sessions.

May come to nothing, but worth trying, and it would be good to get them all upto our only track, where of course, dicking would be going on all around by our local heros.
