Spa & ring & (LCE @ Hokenheim)

Post by Scotty C » Tue Jan 13, 2009 12:16 pm

Just trying to work out dates for the racing.

I will be racing at Zandvoort on the 23rd &24th May. Then fingers crossed, I will be leaving the 2-11 with Bob for a few weeks and fly home.

Plan is to fly back out on the 12th or 13th June do a couple of days at the ring (sat 5.30-7.30 sunday 8-7.30) then do 2 days at Spa with LOT (mon 15th & tues 16th).

I am racing that weekend at Hokenheim (20th&21st).

Drive home?

Anyone want a ring/spa trip mid summer with no snow ?

I'm thinking of doing this now, for me it would have to be instead of Spa in October.

Newcastle to Amstedam ferry Fri 12th June
Sat to 'Ring (open Sat evening and Sun)
Mon and Tue at Spa

maybe then stay on, back to the 'Ring Wed night (and Thurs? track open in the evenings) en route to Hockenheim
Race weekend at Hockenheim
Amsterdam-Newcastle ferry Mon 22nd June

Yeah, looks like I'll need to defer... :(

Eurothrash budget seems to have morphed into soft furnishings.

well I am going to look at booking this tomorrow. Malcolm Johnstone is going to come on this trip as well, so I am looking forward to getting lots of tips :thumbsup

Looking at getting the ferry out on the 12th (i will be paxing with malcolm if my car is already across the pond) I will be staying for over a week but Malcolm will be returning after Spa.

No one else up for it?

Cheers

Scotty, guys,

If anyone is needing a recommendation of somewhere to stay close to Spa, then I have a top place for self catering.

It's about 30 minutes drive from the circuit but bits of the cross country sections are great for the elise. One particular corner I was cursing S2 understeer trying to keep up with my mate in his Evo though (or maybe that was my driving) !!
