Kames 2009

Post by woody » Wed Feb 04, 2009 9:51 pm

Following on from last year, I'm looking at booking 3 provisional dates for SE at Kames. The first day we ran last year was Saturday 26th of April, as both the weekend days are available just now, it'd be an ideal kick off to the summer to make a weekend of it with camping overnight at the track now we have the toilet and shower block there as well as the clubhouse.

As discussed in previous threads, we'll look at running sessioned days this year to keep the queues down and let people turn up at various points throughout the day. I'll also be chatting to the rest of the committee again about running two car at a time; it's a definite priority.

The SE days I'm looking at are:

Sat/Sun 25th/26th April 09

Saturday 06.June.09

Saturday 29.Aug.09

The club has the following test days up on the calendar so far (more to be added):

14-Mar-09

15-Mar-09

And the usual Thursday test nights:

7-May-09

4-Jun-09

2-Jul-09

6-Aug-09

3-Sep-09

No prices have been set yet that I know of, but they should be broadly in line with last year's, with EACC membership at £20 again.

Mods; I've stickied this as I'll add to it when dates are added to the calendar.

first date clashes with Doune I think - any plans for a day earlier in April?
S2 Elise (cobalt blue with stripes) - toy spec
Caterham 7 - hillclimb spec
Yamaha Thundercat - 2 wheeled toy spec

There's the 4th and 5th, or 17th and 18th although the first sprints are not until the 11th and 12th. I chose a date after that as the track won't be properly cleaned and scrubbed in until then. 25th and 26th suited my shifts best out of the two later weekends TBH.

Fair enough mate - would have been nice to get a round out and scrub in some tyres, but there's no point in moving planned SE days as it's not that critical :thumbsup

Well spotted. My calendar this year starts the week on a Sunday, not a Monday like a decent calendar should, so I'm a day out. :rage

Will change it. :thumbsup
