French Frolic 8 - Can we go yet !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by Mike Scib » Tue Feb 17, 2009 3:16 pm

I have just booked Ring accommodation for the 15th and 16th August at the http://www.burgstube.com they still have rooms available at the moment but its the DTM that weekend so probably get in there sooner rather than later 8)

If you book ask to speak to Martin, tell him Mike passed on your details.

Mods any chance this could be moved into the track day or meets section :cheers

Booked the room anyway.

Thanks for the link Mike, had to stay in the same town as the "Steak on a Stone". :thumbsup

Take care,

Robin

Can you remember where we went to a "steak on a stone" restaurant? Was it the Ring or Stelvio?

Seem to remember putting butter on the red hot stone to sauté it and smoking the place out which was rather embarrassing.

However we will never beat the plate on the revolving toaster at breakfast. Happy memories.

Just posted this on the FF thread:

Are we ring buddies again? :damnfunny

Incidentally, is it open on the Monday?

Are we Geordie expressing it again chaps? Much preffered that to Englandshire, although Ed was talking about transporter options? Any further with that Mr P??
I'll have Nicola with me so you're on your own mate! :damnfunny
Thinking of booking the same Hotel again though (Sonnenhoff in Adenau) as it's a good walking base for Nicola if she's sick of cars and tracks. :D

Open the rest of the week but only 17:15 until 19:30 hr so not really worth hanging on.

Geordie Express for us, will need to get booked up soon (Commodore suite no doubt).

Maybe stay for the Monday night, head home Tue ferry...???

I want to go as long as my car holds together. Hopefully I'll be able to book a room through e-mails easy enough as the rig I'm on doesn't allow international calls

I'm going Geordie Express but waiting until everyone else confirms there dates before I book. That way I can just follow everyone else :thumbsup

bump.

I posted on the FF thread but should probably use this one for organisation stuff.

Any consensus on the ferry options? Especially for those doing the 'Ring option.

Nicola isn't going now so room sharing is back on.
I still need to get 'Ring hotels sorted...and pay for the full FF trip...

Ali

I still have to play it off the cuff as August is a long way away. Regardless I will not be doing the Ring, but thanks to Paul I can make a last minute decision as to whether FF is on for me.
