Dreadnought Tracknight 09 april

Post by pete039 » Thu Apr 09, 2009 9:57 pm

First track night of new season and a fun night.
A good night up at knockhill, good driving standards and only one red very late in session (only lasted 2/3 minutes).
Mass where were you , it was a track night ? ( I'me sure Paul wouldnt have asked for a shot of your car again!).
As usual for dreadnought lots of race cars out (minis , fiesta, Seats and a very quick Marcos )
but the track seemed empty for most of the night. The only loti were Kayfur and myself and the tractor beam controlled edinburgh s1 (red, red ,black and silver)
but a good night was had as track and weather was dry.

It was a good trackday, my first for 3 months but I was happy with the CSL even though it was on road tyres.

I got talked to by the marshalls for overtaking the seat cupra race car on the right at the hairpin, even though I didn't!! not sure how they worked that one out.

All the 'Loti' seemed to be going well, I was waiting for Mckeann to appear and overtake me :D
I recommend carlimits.com for driver training!

Pete, I thought you and Kev will be there.

I was away so couldn't make it. Will make the next one.

Glad you had fun.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

I was up watching for a wee while by the chicane. The track etiquette looked to be excellent - far 'friendlier' than Dreadnought TDs I've witnessed of old :thumbsup

ok i own up, it`s my metro

few wee problems led to a late start from me. car was only "finished" at 5.45pm. first time ever driven and first time on track for me. i had a blast and the car was well behaved (for the most part!)

i apologise for the red lights, my throttle cable popped off at the hairpin :|

hope to see some of you again.

p.s. that`s a new screen saver for me jason ;)

You're welcome

...was entertaining listening to you bouncing off the limiter each lap well before arriving at Duffus.
