Kames test nights

Post by dezzy » Tue Apr 28, 2009 3:50 pm

Just wondered if anyone is signed up for the Kames test nights over the coming months? I'm keen to get out at Kames again so going to sign up for a few of the following if they still have places:

Thu 7th May
Thu 4th June
Thu 2nd July
Thu 6th August

Anyone else interested? I know Woody is still talking about organising an SE day again on a weekend but I'm keen to do some track time at Kames and wondered if we can get an SE contingent along again? :D

Cheers,

X5 & the rally roads FTW. :thumbsup

I need to get my finger out; the Elise should be ready for the end of next weekish, but not Kames on Thursday (possibly take the pug for the rally roads) and I also need to get my finger out and organise an SE day again.

I'm gonna give the gearbox a go at the weekend, so if it goes well, I might use Thursday as a shakedown for it. Guaranteed I'll be held up by something though...

I'll probably pop down next Thursday to spectate at least (haven't renewed my membership yet  ), haven't been back at Kames since that incident... :blackeye

Oh so tempting to do one evening and properly finish off my tyres before getting new ones.

i can't see on the eacc page the price for the night, anybody know? also can you hire helmets or do i need to go buy?

the track looks quite tight, how many cars get on at once?

The price for the night is £10, plus membership at £20 per year.

We don't have helmets to hire, but I'm sure you'll be able to borrow one for the night if there are plenty of SE'rs there.

Only one car on track at a time on test nights.

mainsy, I'll happily bring along my spare helmet if you want. This should give you some idea of how tight it is, believe me, you really don't want to go off the track... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 1292420568. Still, as LazyDonkey will tell you ( ), it's a great place to start out as you don't have to worry about other cars and can just drive as quick as you feel comfortable with.

Anyone planning on heading down from Livingston or nearby?
