No crowds, and tin-top looking cars on track... so my guess would be a Saturday morning trackday (Hot Marques/SIDC), with the paddock filling with race teams in prep for Sat afternoon practice and Sunday race meeting.

Same image on Flash Earth

Must be a while ago... different paint colours on Duffus kerbs (red/white/blue) to what I can remember for the past several years.

Looks like its from before the track resurfacing, where they widened the pit straight and changed duffus

disagree that its a trackday. There are cars going into scruitineering, and also another group of cars in the holding area, so i think its an SMRC race weekend

Which is precisely what was happening during our Hot Marques morning couple weekends back, Neil... SMRC meeting cars queueing for scrutineering nearabouts lunchtime. But I guess you're right bout the holding area, hadn't registered them all parked-up there

Good point Jason, Only other thing is that there is a car on the loop (the bit that misses out the hairpin). Thats where the safety car normally sits during races isnt it? I have only been once, and remember it sitting there i think.

Looking again I'm quite sure you're right, Neil :thumbsup It must be Sat test session (assumption Sat as seemingly *zero* spectators).

The cars at the hairpin appear to be liveried racers.

That image has been up for as long as I can remember. Most images of Fife seem to be from around 2001/2002 so I wouldn't be surprised if it was that old.

It must be a decent sized meeting as there are trucks/awnings in both paddocks. You don't normally get that on an SMRC weekend. Could be a Saturday or even a Friday practice session for one of the bigger meets?

Short memory then mate, as it's never gone above a very fuzzy resolution for me  Sure I've checked it this year for something as well.

My brother started racing last year and I remember sitting at the PC with him telling me in great detail "I'm flat in 3rd through here, then clip this kerb" etc etc!
That was after his test day which was the beginning of March last year.

In all fairness it may not have been google maps though, could have been local.live or something :thumbsup
