There was one a few years back, organised by Javelin. They had exclusive rights from the MCC that own the place. Was a great day, but locals were very hostile, with several cars being black flagged for noise, on the say so of the local farmer.
Nothing since then and I believe the MCC are not keen on cars running on their tarmac and rippling it.

MMC... M
MC (Melville Motor Club)
The chief noise complainant during the Javelin day in March '06 has since moved away. Local gossip has it they also complained about the noise from the railway: obviously the East Coast Mainline wasn't there when they moved in

I've heard on good authority MMC would be happy to have cars/trackdays return - and that they have a couple spare 'planning noisy days' per year after all the bike meets are accounted for * - after all, some of us SEers competed in a round of the British Sprint Championship in May '08 at East Fortune... which proves they are no longer quite so precious about their rather nice smooth new tarmac. But for various reasons it didn't happen again this year.
Great shame, as it's a stonkingly good track. Better than Knockhill IMHO.
* the bike meets, of course, are waaaaaay louder than the Javelin trackday was (even the Snot

). We can hear them racing from our garden 3 miles away... Javelin days couldn't be heard at all.

I loved the track at East Fortune, that was the first proper trackday I did (in a little Mk1 MR2). Seems criminal to have such a great little track yet not be able to make use of it, especially when Knockhill (and Kames on a smaller scale) is all we have up here

East Fortune was never a better track than Knockhill, that's a bit like saying that Croft is better than Cadwell..Rubbish.
But it is our only other real circuit at this point in time.
I would certainly sign up for any EF trackday..don't think it's going to happen though...unfortunately...no pun intended.
Take care,
Frank

Totally agree that it's a cracking track - fast & flowing but having the paddock in the middle was a PITA.
I did get slain for the noise (110.6dB IIRC) and was told never to come back with the car, hey ho

Hmmm... Depends what you're looking for. No, I don't think it's as polished a track as KH and obviously doesn't have the elevation change. However, it's tremendous fun and quite challenging to develop your lines & find time. Great track to hoon as well - the one and only time I was there, the engine was on it's last legs and I had tupperware Maxsports. Not the usual recipe for fun, but I ended up just seeing how sideways it would go, everywhere. Awesome fun.
One major point is that it's also a better beginner track than KH. Elaine's first ever time driving an Elise was at EF and she was fairly comfortable. Contrast that to her first KH experience in my car and there was just too much going on and she decided against more than a few laps.
