Croft cancelled.

Post by tut » Tue Jun 23, 2009 12:18 pm

Paul's e-mail says it all.

Obviously it is out of Paul's hands and he will suffer more than anybody. At least nobody will be out of pocket, and those that want to could swap for a more expensive track day, or take the refund. Some like me will probably be hit with the Hotel though as I believe with Pikey Lodge you can not get a refund.

I will alter the Database as now the only option will be KH on the Monday, so Hotels will not be involved. However for Paul's sake I hope we get a full showing for KH, though it will probably cut numbers from the South as it is not a double header.

Cheers

"Hi tut

I’m really sorry to have to do this but I’ve just had another conversation with Croft circuit and they have advised me it would be best to cancel all our remaining days at the circuit this year.

This includes July 18th and September 6th

I know it’s mucked you all around, it’s also going to create a huge amount of extra work for me but there doesn’t seem to be any choice. Croft have offered me a refund on both days and said they will let me know when things are sorted to book more. I really don’t want to muck people around again in a month or two.

As usual I’ve tried to work out some options which include a full refund, if you could email me back ASAP with your preferred option I will sort it.

1. Full Refund - £140
2. Silverstone GP – Lotus only – Mon 29th June – normally £225 – Straight Swap (worth £225)
3. Knockhill – 20th July – Straight Swap
4. Donington Park Evenings – choice of 6/7 or 10/8 – normally £110 – straight swap PLUS £60 refund (worth £170)
5. Silverstone GP – 2th August OR 15th October – normally £250 – Straight Swap (worth £225)
6. Oulton Park – 30th October – normally £99-£119 – Straight Swap PLUS £60 refund (worth £159-£179)

If you have another option please email me and I’ll see what I can do.

PLEASE accept apologies, really nothing else I can do about it…

Regards

Paul Golding"

Real shame after Croft recently claimed it would be able to go ahead.

Usual story with Paul though - bending over backwards to sort folks out - great lad. :thumbsup

Does this relate to some saga or other re: trackday noise at Croft?

That's a bummer - it was the only "down south" trackday I'd booked this year :(

Any plans among SE'ers for any others?

Yes got it, didn't realise it was a mass email, thought it was sent to tut only.

Was thinking about another trip down south but decided against it, back to saving for hooses.

I'm heading down to this on Monday (replacement for the 10 May Croft) if anyone fancies it.
Three places left.
