FFX - Frolic 2010

Post by wheelie » Mon Aug 24, 2009 7:34 pm

Looks like Paul has been busy already !
Both trips sound good, I'll skip the extra evening activities next year though.
/Dave
Frolic 2010 - the june version - confirmed;)
27th June - Mas du Clos
28th June - Charade
30th June - Pau
plus 1 of Leddenon or a new circuit..

basically it's as hilly/dangerous as it gets

will have to offer to those who have done previous frolic's first as it need experienced drivers who ideally have done this sort of trip before.

i know it's early but if we are to do 2 frolics next year i'll want to get live asap and give JP/claude as much time as possible to sort everything and for us to get best prices.

Frolic 2 will be in the last 2 weeks of August and will include Mas du Clos again, plus possibly Le Mans and ledenon if we don't do it in June.

We will have at least 2 trackdays and maybe upto 4 at Pau next year and hopefully 3 at mas du clos as well as visit Ledenon.

So plenty of options for everyone.

For accomodation we'll try with 2 bases and max of 3 different hotels. Mas du Clos and Charade are very close to each other so this helps.

Will put June live next week.. those who have just come back don't panic as i'll give you options and as long as possible.

Hopefully having 2 trips will help everyone!

Excellent! Those are three great circuits :-) Ledenon was really good fun too. Just make sure your cars are 110% before you go! S1 drivers, please replace all wheel bearings, hubs and flanges. K-series owners, please replace head gaskets and radiators. Oh, and clutch hoses.

Cheers,
Robin

Sounds awesome, think Tom and I will be up for this given that we missed out on DP & FF8.
Just need a job and car now! :thumbsup

You know it makes sense; start saving now ... don't buy any birthday or christmas presents, scrounge more drinks, steal pizzas off drunk people, only order starters when in restaurants, then eat what others don't want (don't just limit this to your own table - if you see the waiter with a tasty half-eaten dish, 'av it). You'll easily save enough money to pay for the trip this way. :-)

All of the above plus stop buying clothes, you have plenty, and stay away from garages, find friends whose hobby is stripping down Elises for fun.

Obviously I would love to make this, especially that if tt 2010 took place it would make one hell of a month.

A long way ahead, but planning would start around December with Gemma to try and get a Friday in early June for KH and base the weekend around that. That would fit in with FF which is the end of the month.

Once a Database is up next year for tt. On the LOT site for FF.

Looking to get everything together for Wednesday evening for the Ka. What is the earliest that you would be able to get to Old Deer for?

Yes, it's called sarcasm. Or is it irony. Can never remember which is which - I'm sure Tut will be along in a moment to explain the difference. Also I forgot to mention that if you follow Benny around, you should have free food most evenings ;-) (sorry Benny)
