Sh*tload of money. Know it's a full day and it's one of the few dates left, but LoT do them much cheaper and I'd be tempted to wait until they've got a day I can do.

Just letting you into some possible resaons for the slow uptake. 8)

ah you see minial research. Is it a lot? Same price as KH (per hour) roughly... May have to re-think although looking through another post looks like they do discount for LoT members, if there is any interest I could check (but I'm sh*t at organising stuff).

You see LoT is 30 quid just to join the forums!! 30 quid for nothing!! I'm already a member of more forums than I can possibly keep up with...

How much do LoT charge then? (May join if it is cheaper).

I'm not off often at weekends (see posts passim), I can't often get a pass when I am off, I'm willing to pay for the priviledge of a date that fits my calendar...

Aye - LoT does tend to be in the £99 - £150 bracket for full day Oulton. The date mentioned isn't listed though. Their next Oulton is in friggingn December (although they've just had a day there)

Think about LoT is that, while it costs £30 to join, I saved more than that on one track day booking with them. If you want to do more than 1 TD other than KH all year, then it's a no-brainer. I don't keep track of the forums, only log on if there's an event I want to go to, so I can get the chat in advance.

Another option for the more challenging track that's not too far away is Cadwell. Bloody love the place and it seems custom made for the Elise.

They have a full calendar of events on the site, so you don't have to be wading through forums to find them.

100 quid in December. It'll snow! This is July in summer... Much better

Anyway it's only an extra ton. Night out in Glasgow. 2 tanks of fuel. 'Sonly money. No pockets in a shroud you know. And it fits my calendar.

pete

more money than time faction.

And losing track of what he has posted on SE1 (at home) and on here (at home and w*rk)as that last stuff I've written looks a bit familiar....

The g/f lives quite near, so if I'm in the area I may pop down for a look-see. The car will be way up here though.

Dont ask me its your idea  I have not given it any thought whatsoever. I know its in Cheshire , thats England right . As I said I need to check with Stewart for leave , I will call you tomorrow. Its either a case of getting up early and driving down, f**k that or going down Friday during the day and staying somewhere.

The credit card is out so the world is your lobster. ( sorry been drinking  )

I recommend driving down the night before - have a couple (but too many, eh Neil?) and then off to bed. Remember Oulton Park is not a place to drive on a hangover unless you want to come home on a flatbed or in a bodybag ...

I can also recommend the Premier Travel Inn at Northwich (not Northwich South) which is were I stayed last time (much better than the smell-o-tel we used to stay in!).

http://www.premiertravelinn.com/pti/hot ... elId=24127

To get there from here, M6 south to J19, the turn right on the A556 towards Northwich - to get to the hotel you actually don't go into NW, rather you follow the A556 which has a bypass to the south instead. The hotel is on the right, IIRC, just after the bypass ends and the dual carriageway stops. If you get to the Shell garage you've missed it.

To get to the circuit you carry on to the shell garage and turn left at the lights, then through the next set of lights and you'll see OP signs anyway - if you get to the random blue petrol station on the left, you've just passed the wee lane on the left that goes through the woods to the circuit entrance that you should have taken :-)

Cheers,
Robin

P.S. Not that I've ever been there or anything :-)

Perhaps breaking the shed helped your avoidance?

the shed breakage was late in the day, about 2 hours before home time. By then i had sobered up. It was the morning session that was most, er, interesting.

Robin wouldnt pax with me, although that is no great surprise
