Fancy doing this and only £60 for the 2 hours between 1800-2000 hrs.

Anyone else fancy it?

Phil, just ask KH to give you a credit note for a future TD.

Andy, I'm rather down at mo. The SLR died again....... excatly same thing (engine pop) three times in 6 TDs :(

I may still do the TD in the CR or a new beast

Thats what il do, hopefully will get a new car that can handle the abuse.

Not good about the caterham, is it oil starvation or something?

I think the oil starvation is the direct cause, not sure what's causing the starvation though. Must get to the bottom of this. Car will go to Brian (Dreadnought) next week for a full check up.

Sorry to hear the news Mass. You must be gutted :(

As you probably gathered, I couldn't make - you always seem to blow it up when I'm not there! A Duratec conversion might be the way ahead perhaps?

Hi Mass,

Just off the phone with Clockwise Motion (ordering some K20 Performance Cams/pistons) they do a K20 Conversion for the Caterham. Developed it to get rid of the VHPD on the older R500's and SLR's.

I'm looking at a 2.2 bottom for a reliable 300 BHP :D

Just a thought .....

Alan

You have missed a good day Dave. Apart from the engine popping, it was a great day. I think they are organising another one in July so I will let you know when I know the new date. Fantastic weather. There were about 45 cars for the whole day so not too busy, but the speed differences between the fast and slow cars were huge!

I was talking to Mads about the blow but even with the Duratec, the same thing could happen. As you may know, the Duratec blew very soon after he got the car from Caterham. So even they are not bullet proof.

Thanks, Alan. I think I really need to find out the reason for the oil starvation before doing any upgrade mods to the engine.
