February Frolic - nutters only

Post by mckeann » Mon Nov 22, 2010 4:26 pm

Bookatrack are running a trip ala the lot frolic, but in February.

Its in Spain.

Its in the south of spain.

its 1800 miles away.

Ok, now, for whoever is still reading. There going to Ascari, Jerez, and Portimao. Its 1100 quid for the 3 trackdays.

Its an absolutely daft trip, but ascari is one of those tracks that you haveto do once in your life, as is portimao.

Sat 5th Feb 2011: Ascari Race Resort
Sun 6th Feb 2011: Circuito de Jerez
Mon 7th Feb 2011: (Travel ~220miles)
Tue 8th Feb 2011: Autodromo do Algarve (Portimao)

i reckon you would need 2 days either side to drive there and back.

anybody fancy it??

3 great tracks, interesting. Im keen. Think i would leave the 2-11 at the apartment in Malaga and fly home then fly back down for it later on/or just before frolic

you pay for it, drive the car out and we can share the 2-11

I fancy it very much. South of Spain in Feb will probably be lovely!!

Just a little too early on the budget front. Feels real close to half-term, too...could have deposited wifie and kiddlies at Scotty's apartment for a week and come along to have some fun with the grownups!!

If it catches on, might take a shot at this in future...

Go on Neil, show us how it's done, you crazy guy 8)

Would be awesome to do those circuits but out of my budget I'm afraid. Definately the place to go at this/that time of year. :thumbsup

You could give him the camper and borrow the twin trailer you had, I can think of another 2-11 that would like to go :D

Just checked the Portsmouth-Santander ferry and it is a mere £736 return for the tow car and trailer (and might be a bit less with some more accurate/less conservative estimate on length of the rig). Only problem is the +/- 2 weeks off work that will be required, difficult to justify when family left at home. Tempting though.

George, what to do is fly them down for a week in the sun after the event. Wednesday to Wednesday then drive back the way you came. You get a track holiday and a week in the sun, they get a week in the sun. That's how I'm going to sell it to Ruth. :thumbsup
