With a gloomy forecast, it was surprising to see three Caterhams together but Frank, Andy Bell, and myself braved the showers and headed to Knockhill on Wednesday evening. It turned out to be a dry for the two hours with the track drying out during the event. It gave a nice mix of conditions from challenging to just plain scary. It was the reverse layout so new to most people there and there was was a real sense of caution among the drivers - etiquette was superb and only two short red flags which was a miracle considering the conditions.
Knockhill is surprisingly different in reverse with the main challenge transferring from Duffus to the Railway Bend/Clarks combination. Railway Bend becomes a 100 mph corner that ends in a big brake for Clarks. It nice to have a high speed corner but it's not for the faint hearted.
Both Andy and myself got lots of video. Here's mine (sessions 1 & 2 are wet so skip to the the second half of session 3 for the better stuff)

Loving the reverse layout.
On the way there I drove through a shower..no problem.. except it was a hail shower that was fun with the aero and beanie FFS.
The guy in the grey noble tried hard to write it off..several times..he got really really lucky at Clarks. Fun to watch though

Nice videos, Dave.
Frank, you seem to be driving really well

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.
