SIDC Knockhill - Saturday 22nd June
Re: SIDC Knockhill - Saturday 22nd June
There was a very quick red flag, and there were no cars off as I had done a full lap.
Asked the Marshaller what it was for, and he said he was picking up some debris off the track and with a big grin handed me my headlamp cover.

It was on the outside of the first corner.
Adam lost a hose on the start finish line as well.

Just noticed the front disc are cracked in several places
Lucky the track was wet and I was on it for just one hour
Renny, it was good to meet you. Do you know the noble well?

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Cheers for taking Regina out Tut. Wanted to make sure she had a memorable first track experience, you certainly managed that, she's just about calmed down..........tut wrote:Did not stop me from running straight on at the Hairpin after missing a gear, but was able to drive out of the gravel without even a yellow. However not so clever was coming out of the pit lane with Regina for her first time on track and managing a 360 at McIntyres, and as I always drive a warm up lap that took me by surprise. There was a red flag for fuel spilt on the track next lap so maybe that was it.

She was a delight Chuck, nice and light, and she was whooping and giggling when ever the back end let go, but I think slightly apprehensive at the 360.

Re: SIDC Knockhill - Saturday 22nd June
Although not driving this time I had a great day catching up with everyone.
And a huge thanks to Alan G and Scotty for the pax laps, it was an education into going sideways. I couldn't believe how easy they made it look and how far they could hang the back end out. I was absolutely facinated looking at Scotty's feet dancing on the pedals, oh I've got so much to learn.
Cheers

Were you in the White or Silver M3?revoemag wrote:Thanks for the lovely day, had an absolute blast on the track in the M3, wasn't sure how it would do on the 888's but it went fine, lots of vibration under braking so will need to get that checked out but other than that was a fantastic day, some go-pro footage if anyone is interested, apologies for the position on the driftbox, first time with the go-pro AND the driftbox, will move it in future

Silver, the white was an E90 if I am not mistaken.easty-5 wrote:Were you in the White or Silver M3?revoemag wrote:Thanks for the lovely day, had an absolute blast on the track in the M3, wasn't sure how it would do on the 888's but it went fine, lots of vibration under braking so will need to get that checked out but other than that was a fantastic day, some go-pro footage if anyone is interested, apologies for the position on the driftbox, first time with the go-pro AND the driftbox, will move it in future

SIDC Knockhill - Saturday 22nd June
I've met Graeme a few times before the SLS rounds and at other track sessions. Seems a nice guy and the car appears to be well used to serious track use, though not raced until this weekend. Not sure many would be brave enough as take a road car like that racing, but we've had a Lamborghini out in SMRC racing, and it was rather ragged around the edges after the first season.Modena Scotland wrote: Renny, it was good to meet you. I think we all know the Lambo. Does the chap still compete?Scottish Scrutineer wrote:I've met Graeme a few times before the SLS rounds and at other track sessions. Just a quick note to say that I had a great time on Saturday,
big thanks to John Stewart for yet another perfectly run very busy SIDC day
It was exactly what I needed to get to grips with the car, and I must thank our very own tame racing driver for his tips and pointers resulting in a couple of nice class wins on Sunday!

It may be the same Ian Donaldson that races a Fiesta ST.GregR wrote:
