I got back last night at 10;45, a good blast up the road, amazed i felt so awake.
Cadwell just finished the trip off with a bang, still my second fav track after Spa, and to do them both in the same week, just fantastic. really cant wait now for the Oulton/Cadwell double header at the end of the year now.
the whole thing was just a blast, apart form Zolder, nice track, but not so keen on the noise limit, lack of fire extinguishers, and the "oil/110mph/gravel trap" combo, i think i will pass on doing that again (not the track, just need to reduce the noise my car makes)

Hope we are lucky enough to do it all again next year, perhaps with Zandvoort as well :thumbsup

Thanks again to Paul for making it happen :cheers

Must sleep tonight.

Kelvin, your green monster is certainly easier on the eye than my ankle or Lisa's leg. I'll give you that.

Oh and I'm telling.

WTF is this doing in the Spaz thread?

Where's a mod when you need one?

I had a great time as a part-spazzer. Starting drinking on arrival at the Holiday inn and finishing at 2am wasn't the best Hethel prep but I got about 25 laps in the family bus. I learned a lot too thanks to Craig about what the dial on the dash with the wee oil can meant :)

Great fun out with Stu in the 2-11 and Ali in Bennys new car to 'bed in' the brakes. Also did the historic GP cars geek tour which was great, up close and personal with the first car Senna won a GP in.

Thanks to Mr Robertson we shoe-horned 30+ people into a curry house at short notice then went out for a few beers, and popped Father G's jaegerbomb cherry!

Did have a tear in my eye as I left the car park to head north when everyone else was Chunnel bound.

*cough* I'll take that one... My piloting needs further work though, but improved massively over the week thanks to some great tuition and following some of the very talented SE drivers.

My first trip of this kind and frankly I had the best time in a car I have experienced. Spa is hands down better than anything else. Also probably the worst on that drive from Snetterton to Cadwell.

Fantastic company you all are and mad as a box of frogs too. :D :thumbsup

What a fantastic trip once again. There was a really good mix of track action and off-track banter. Anyone that's never been on a frolic really needs to get in on their bucket list.

All 3 tracks were great fun in their own way but Spa is epic. Having dry tracks every day definitely helped. I had instruction at each of the tracks which made a huge difference from the start of the day to the end.

I took 14 hours door-to-door to get home from Zolder to Aberdeen. It was more bearable than I'd imagined. I've developed a strange habit of bumping into people I've lost on frolic trips. Robin was booked on the same Chunnel as me but he'd left early from Zolder because UJI was poorly. The traffic around Brussels was a nightmare with stop-start every half a mile or so for about 20 miles and I spirited on to the Chunnel after that. I was loaded straight on so no sign of Robin. Fortunately I missed the junction for the M25 because I needed fuel and there was a petrol station just a couple of miles up the A2. It was back to the M25 and more queues at the Dartford Tunnel. The traffic was fairly heavy once I got up to the M6 and I was getting drowsy just sitting in a line so I decided to take a break - my phone was short of battery so I needed to get a charger for it anyway. I pull into Toddington services to see UJI in the car park and wander in to see if I can get a charger. I spot a 'Fone Bitz' - ideal - and then walk in to find Robin buying a car charger! What are the chances?

Thanks to everyone for making it the trip it was - especially the Angry Pirate and Pudding Cup. It was great to make some new friends and to get to know some old faces a bit better.

Roll on next year...

Under no circumstances search for the angry pirate on youtube, and if you do, don't watch the cartoon. Though it did provide much amusement after dinner at Zolder on the Tuesday night.

It's a one eyed angry pirate BTW

Oh and don't search for that either, at least don't blame us if you do.

After finally getting a driveshaft delivered from Elise parts on Friday I fitted it and Lindsay and I headed off at 3.30. Got to the hotel to find almost everyone still in the bar. After a few off to bed totally shattered. Had a good laugh on track the next day. I've driven round Hethel before granted it was 4 years ago and was basically a pot hole covered runway. At least bahar did blow some of the cash on something decent. Thanks to robin for taking Lindsay out on track in her car that she hadn't driven before.
Went to the pub after with Martin Donnelly, great to catch up with him as always.

Graeme sorted out a table for 31 in a curry house in town. Some of us went out on the town after.
