Andy Forrest shattered the KH lap record with his mildly tweaked (950 BHP) Impreza

A sterling effort .......and anti clockwise for good measure

I can only imagine the bravery involved at braking for the hairpin

Yes it was a good day, no wind and a warm track - perfect for the turbo charged cars. Strictly speaking it was not a SLS record as Andy's car did not fit any class, so it was a demo appearance and ran in a 'prototype' class. I believe the intention is that the Pro Class will be changed to Time Attack rules next year to allow this type of car. But that's not to take anything away from the achievement. A truly impressive time.

Andy also managed a sub 50s lap in the clockwise direction when practicing for Silverstone Time Attack. Pretty good effort from the worlds fastest Subaru in the 1/4 mile, no mean feat to make it go round corners. Pretty good effort from a car built by a man and his other half in his shed. He does know a thing or 2 about Subaru's
