DDtB wrote:better late than never... just wanted to add my thanks for an awesome day.

Expectations were low given it always rains at knockhill + no trackdays for 4 years + 5 year old tyres + a car that hadn't really been used for 4 years too.... but pleased to say it turned out to be epic and far exceeded expectations!! A large part of that was down to the laps in the last session with istoo. Think I spent about 40 mins on the track in that session and grinned the whole time. It's getting rarer to find a similarly powered car on track these days with all the V6s appearing etc and that last session was the best fun I've had on track in years. Probably since Ledenon lapping with the Rolfe!

Thanks again to Craig/Brandy and the MMC team for rebuilding the shed too...

Found the love again. The S1 makes so much sense as soon as it sees a track. Roll on the Frolic!!

Now to add a few pics to the basket... been meaning to do that for a while so when you see Tut Towers 2010 pics being bought John, it's not a mistake.. it's just me finally getting round to it!!

Oh and Jim... if you have a copy of that one of me going up the main straight you could send me... it would be much appreciated.

Here's to the next one.. :thumbsup

Cheers,

Dave.
:cheers
I've actually archived the photos from 2010 on my website (only the thumbnails are there) as I ran out of webserver quota. I'll have a look tonight and see if I can upload them again for you.

Yes - that would be very helpful. I probably have more photos from the event, as I only ever publish a selection. I'll check if I have any more when looking for the original files.

DDtB (Dave?), concur! Found my feet in the Elise finally, new ad07s have given that progressive slip I have been looking for. Been a very long time since I came off track buzzing, truly enjoyed that stint. Still can have a blast in a K [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]. Going to stay standard as well not sure we could have gone much quicker!! Was my eldest buys first time in track as well, he was loving it as well. Thanks again.

Yeah, could hear it wasn't... but mine is standard, I was a passenger up and DDtB was passengerless. Power/weight I reckon was identical.

Standard is such a relative term anyway ;-)

Definitely agree our cars were pretty evenly matched.... The vvc must be about 150?

Looking forward to the next dual regardless!!!! Hopefully new tyres will give me the edge!!
