Bilster Berg

Post by rgordonw » Fri Jan 15, 2016 2:15 pm

Just spotted this addition to LoT calendar.
http://www.lotus-on-track.com/booking/b ... ugust-2016
Looks an interesting track and could be a nice trip with Zandvoort the following day.
Unfortunately Zandvoort is fully booked and I am only 3rd on the reserve list.
Fingers crossed

That's my fear as it was quite pricey the last time I saw it advertised. Can't remember how much but not the usual £200.

Gordon, a few of us are doing the Zandvoort and Bilsterburg double instead of Frolic this year. :thumbsup

Looks like I missed any prior information on the Zandvoort Bilster Berg double or I would have been in like a shot. Tried to book Zandvoort two weeks ago and had not heard of Bilster Berg until today Anyone got any links/info as to what is happening.

BigD/Gordon,

You're both showing as reserves for Zandvoort, but the reserve list is quite short, so good chance of getting a place. Question is, should I book frolic or should I go on the Zandvoort reserve list and hope to get on? Decisions ...

Will you do Blisterberg even if you don't get onto Zandvoort?

Cheers,
Robin

Edit: I've put myself on the reserve list for Zandvoort - I figure if I don't get on I can still come along on the day and pax as we'll be on way back from BB.

Robin, BigD, Gordon

I plan to do both Bilsterberg and Zandvoort - you are welcome to pax with me.

Anyone fancy doing the Frolic too?
could leave the cars near Zandvoort(?) and fly back to pick up for the Frolic.

The thought did cross my mind, but I've got a load of other people's holidays to consider and nobody else has booked their summer dates yet - so for now I am going to stick to just the Boobz trip. I'll definitely bring my car - if I don't get on Z I'll be pax whoring in the pit lane ... you've been warned :-)

Thanks - happy to do a couple of laps but never that happy driving someone else's car - particularly something fast - in case I run out of talent ;-)

Robin, Paul was keeping some spaces for se'rs due to frolic being the same as last year. I'm confident that we'll get on as its a big circuit.

Will be booking Bilster Berg when it goes live. Fingers crossed for a confirmed place at Zandvoort but the fallback is BookaTrack are running Zandvoort days on the Saturday and Sunday. They were announced a few weeks ago but still have lots of availability, possibly because of the steep price, £375. If it gets to only a few places left and no news from LoT I will book with BaT so one way or another I will be doing Zandvoort. May end up with two days at Zandvoort but it's my favorite circuit so not worried.
Much as I enjoyed the Frolic last year, the same trip with all the road miles and no significant Scottish contingent this time could only be an anti-climax.
