2017 Knockhill Track dates

Post by JohnStewart » Fri Jan 20, 2017 7:49 am

I've just confirmed the following dates with Knockhill:

Saturday 25th March, 9am to 1pm
Saturday 20th May, 6pm to 8pm (evening 2 hour session)
Thursday 29th June, 6pm to 8pm (evening 2 hour session)
Saturday 30th September 9am to 1pm

I couldn't get a suitable 4 hour weekend session between May and August that didn't clash with other events or school holidays etc, so opted for a couple of 2 hour evening sessions instead.

These should now be available to buy in the club shop: http://www.sidc.co.uk/product-category/track-days/

The first event normally sells out very quickly with a long reserve list, so don't leave it until the last minute!
Please note that the 2 hour evening sessions will be for around 30 cars, so fewer slots available. The cost of an instructor for the 2 hour sessions increased the costs by about 10%, so have opted to run these without our usual free instruction (same as the two hour sessions a few years ago when one event was cancelled due to fog).

No suitable car.....wonder how the S3 would go around KH....Might have to book on the off chance that I get a track slag bought before the year is out...If anyone knows of suitable vehicles then let me know...

Thanks for organising John.
Can you tell me, what is the procedure for registering a second driver for my car? My daughter would like a few laps, she has a full driving licence.

Just turn up on the day with a completed indemnity form (which I will email out about ) and attend the drivers briefing. Main driver will get one colour of wristband, and the additional drivers get a different colour.

I'll need to do something with the seat James, her feet don't reach the pedals!
