LoT - Blyton Park on 12th May 2018

Post by c8rkh » Wed May 02, 2018 2:30 pm

Anyone on here going or am I the only SE rep?

This will be my first track day outside of Knockhill, ever. Has anyone got a map?

Lol - that's the same as I've been round Knockhill. Phew. Thank frig for that, I was fearing I would have to turn left at some point! ;)

I believe it's flat though. That'll be a first with no off camber kinks and a long hill climb sprint every lap...

It's just such a shame that every other tck in the Uk is a 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 hour drive away. Still wouldn't want to live anywhere else though.

All characters appearing in this post are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
Any references to laptimes, speed or driving on the public highway are purely for dramatic effect.

I've been round it when we were evaluating it for an Experience Track.

Not the most exciting place and pretty small, but its actually probably about the same size as Knockhill. Recall it being a bit of a nightmare to get to.

It was actually quite easy to get to - just head for Blyton village and pick up the signs in the Village about 1.5 miles out.

A really good lap time is around 1m 8s. The track is not as wide as knockhill ut it has some really good bits and Bunga Bunga (a double left hander) is superb when you get it right - so not often for me then.

I really enjoyed the day, weather gods smiled on us and I had several hours on the track. I'm going back but also need to try Croft as it is I believe the nearest English circuit to us.

Sounds good. Although similar area to Cadwell Park. Which is a bit special. Double Header some time?!
