1. That was last night
2. That MINi is pretty LOO-y at times
3. The wee Elise holds on pretty well on the straights given he has close to double your power.
4. Looks like you had more Friday evening fun than I did. Buggar.

What track evening was that?
Looks fairly light on traffic.
Good blat there with the Cooper S. Is that the earlier supercharged R53 version? That's a lot of power out of that lump.

Was organised by Tartan Tarmac. Yep R53 with loads of mods. Stripped, caged, pully and remap chargecooler plus other goodies can’t remember all he said, trick dampers AD08r’s

what a great track night, really good with the 30 car limit. Been on a few Knockhill evenings which are still good but they cap at 40 cars, does make a difference when you see the room we had on Friday night.

I called in at CMC for new brakes then headed up to the track so was taking it steady for the first couple of runs. I moved well out of the way when that mini came anywhere close to me, no point risking my car for a mini which even with the mods is worth a fraction of the cost of mine.

was considering going back tonight for the rev limits but 3 in a week is a bit much...………….

You can certainly pedal that S1 Scott!!!

Thanks :thumbsup

Havent done any rev limits this year. I really baulk at paying £160 for a track night when TrackScotland will do the same for £90. I do see what they are trying to do though by limiting numbers and targeting the supercar angle. I did the dreadnought one 2 weeks ago in monsoon conditions.

What brakes did you go for? Ive just put a full set of CL5+ pads. Big difference over the 1144 Mintex I was running before. Although I’ve melted my brake buffers will need to see if cmc have any.

aye I hear you re the cost. Rev limits is a 3 hour track day so you do get more for your money and the track is quiet for it.

Knockhill's own nights and trackscotland are £90 as you say. Tartan Tarmac £125 (I think due to the 30 car limit).

Brakes wise I went for OE type cross drilled discs all round and pagid pads, cant remember the compound name, told him fast road and the occasional track night, i'm happy as long as it stops and they don't fade!!

Your car sounded fruity. Think I passed you a couple of times when you were on a cool down.

Is that a 70s Fiat 124 spider in there>? And a modern non-Abarth Fiat 500?

Haven't watched track day vids for a while, but both were unexpected.

Looked fun, I'm feeling the draw of track days again... it's been a while.

Yes it was - kudos to the guy for getting it out on track rather than stuck gathering dust in a garage. The non Abarth wasnt hanging about either.

More variation of cars in this one. Big power nobles and supra's are Fast on the straight bits but cant shake a S1 on the twisties - there aint much grip in the gravel :D
