I’m currently trying to decide if it’s Hard too or Soft top, leaning more towards hard top st present. At least you 311 guys don’t have that dilemma Image
It’s still #bemoretut year, Graham.

Soft top or no top. Those are your only choices.

Enjoy, feckers.

Got back yesterday afternoon. Awesome trip. In case anyone was in any doubt, the food on the Hull ferry is S H I T. Next time I am taking my own food.

Good driving on Monday. A dry day at Spa, trying to man up - the older I get the more vivid my imagination - which is odd because I don't really care about what happens to the car - and I know that the chances of it hurting are minimal - need to get some CBT before the ring trip later this year :-) There were the inevitable mobile chicanes, but no doubt the faster cars think that about me too, so mustn't grumble :-)

It rained on Tuesday morning and we were heading off in the afternoon - still did 20 "slippery when wet" laps and really enjoyed them. But as lunch approached I figured it was time to call it a day and head off for a great lunch in Spa and then off to the ferry - was a good call in the end as the car cut out mysteriously on the motorway and wouldn't restart for 45 minutes. It's done that before once ... I need to get to the bottom of it! Anyway as I was standing on the verge away from the car (like you're supposed to) the heavens opened with thunder, lightening and hail! And that made me realise that however sh*t standing on the hard shoulder was, it was better than driving Ali's 311 at that moment!

Whatsapp has a great live location sharing feature which leads to some interesting competition and also useful when trying to work out where the trailer trash is on the way to/from the tracks :-)

Thanks to all for good company, really enjoyed it.

Release the Kraken!

Ali loves a bath. I remember coming back from Frolic with him in his 211 when it turned into a monsoon on some French motorway. I had to slow right down because visibility was near zero and I didn't want to aquaplane into a barrier. We stopped at the next services and, in true Bake Off style, he had a very soggy bottom.

As Robin said, it really was a brilliant trip. Good mix of weather, but I preferred the 20c and sunshine to the 9c and pissing rain. Big thanks to Robin and Ali for clearing my throttle issue. Lip mode before the start of first day was a bit of a bummer. Now looking forward to next Euro trip to Zandvoort and Zolder in September 😀😀😀

Some fantastic highlights! 311 was faultless apart from a puncture which was swiftly fixed with help from Bob and the team. Quite a nice place to do big touring miles too. Ride is way better than the 211 and little turbulence with the tonneau cover.

Properly scary on track tho, got used to the handling pretty quickly on road settings and PSS but not the speed you arrive at stuff! 155 at the end of the Kemmel and had to properly brake for Eau Rouge and Blanchimont. Trying to keep up with Andy was probably ill advised and led to a couple of bail outs including a close drive past inspection of the big red wall at Radillion. What a machine though, nothing else driven to the circuit anywhere close and has to be the pick for extreme fun and pace/£.

Lowlights could indeed be the Dutch aquaplaning, hailstone and lightning fest. Maybe only topped by the A68 snow deeper than the splitter...every time you hit a deep bit it was like a snowball in the visor...

Roll on the next adventure!

Ali you’re a ledge. Particularly the A68 snow part

And agree with Steve. La Source apex shots are always top drawer. Poster size for lounge wall then?!
