Nice one Mark.

Why only 1 track?

I was too slow and the package deal is sold out, the other two tracks only had 30 places each.

I've booked Dijon directly (300E) and the local Ibis for 2 nights (150E).
Planning to then spend ~2 days driving south through the Alps before meeting the others in Orange for a night or two.

Has anyone given any thought to booking Tunnel tickets yet? What dates are people thinking?
Sunday 14th to Sun 21st is currently £180 standard, £230 standard refundable or £500 full flex. I think you can also use Tesco Clubcard to pay for a standard ticket. Predicting which return train to book looks like a nightmare!
Would also be good to hear anyone's experience heading back north from Orange on the Sat/Sun? Can it be done in a day? What's the traffic expected to be like? Terrible given it's the end of the French school holidays? Anyone planning to add a few more days at the end to see the sights and avoid the traffic? Cheers!

Did Orange to Calais in a day. Easy drive albeit long but Autoroutes generally free flowing in my experience.

Had 2 drivers though.

That said, I’d prob still go for it even if solo.

Booked an IBIS at Calais for good rest before braving the mess that is the UK M-way system though …

It used to be the case that if you booked a 24 hour return ( 2 of them) but never made either return it worked out way cheaper :cheers

Wont be the end of the French school holidays (they will be off all of august) and M-ways in France are usually lightly trafficked on Sundays
