Yes it's August 7th to August 12th (the LoT version). From Scotland more likely to take an extra day each side as they're starting from Dover.

The LoT trip is 3 track days: Dijon, Lucy-Lervis and the butt-clenchingly scary Charade plus hotels and return crossings for 500 if you book before 1/1/07.

The SE route takes in some of the Alps afterwards as well as the infamous Mont Ventoux. We'll be back in Scotland sometime on Saturday August 18th.

No hotels, etc. sorted for the SE route, but chances are it'll cost 300-500 depending on where we stay.

Cheers,
Robin

Scotty, are you going to do the Alps afterwards? Did you decide on trailer vs. driving?

Cheers,
Robin

I'm going to book holidays for this and tag along. :D
Likely be without car as the Exige will have gone by then and unless I can steal Thinfourths cat for a week. ;)
I'll book later when I know for sure, I'm sure Paul Golding will do me a deal for 2nd driver at all the tracks. ;)

I'd happily drive a support vehicle (tow car and empty trailer) if folks want to tow most of the way but drive the alpine routes.

I'd be flying in from Lagos, either right up to Aberdeen or potentially meet up in Amsterdam (KLM) or Heathrow (Virgin).
Virgin do a handy limo transfer from Heathrow...(to Dover, Biggleswade etc.)

Just asked Paul about second drivers and its included in the price. So for 500 quid, you get 3 trackdays, accomodation and ferry crossing for 2 drivers

Ali, I am sure that if you took a tow car and spare trailer with lots of parts and tools, Most of the SE guys would give you shots of our cars at the trackdays. If theres 6 of us (me, robin, kelvin, scotty, paul, iain) then you would get as much tracktime as the rest of us.

In fact, Paul might even pay for you to go if you were able to offer a little trackday support for the LoT guys like Jez did last year)

I have a tow truck. all we need is a nice cosy trailer for the 340r.

PS how much beer can you fit in the back of the L200?

Hey matey, you need to sign up on lotus-on-track.com for signing up etc.

FF6 Dijon Prenois 8/8/07

8-8-2007

The opening circuit for Franch Frolic 6.

Dijon is renowned as one of the best circuits in Europe, a claim that was backed up when we first visited in 2005. Dijons hosted 6 F1 Grand Prixs including the Swiss GP as well as French.

The itinerary for FF6 is:-

Tuesday 7th - late afternoon - cross channel and head to 1 hr of Dijon
Wednesday 8th - Dijon track day
Thursday 9th - easy run to Lurcy-Lévis
Friday 10th - Lurcy-Lévis track day
Saturday 11th - Charade track day
Sunday 12th - back to UK

All 3 track days are open pit lane with 30 mins familerisation laps at the start.

This trip is only suitable to Intermediate/Advanced drivers - no novice drivers please - Dijon & Charade are fantastic circuits but both can bite.

We expect the WHOLE trip to be about 1000 miles of non track driving - so less than half of FF6!! Hotels will be posted for bookings by end of Jan 2007 and as usual should be no more than £50 per night - just 5 nights this time!

Because we have to limit numbers and EVERY French Frolic trip has sold out todate as well as to help with deposits we are offering 4 packages...

Option 1 - just Dijon track day - £150 - option limited to just 10 cars.

Option 2 - available until 1/1/07 - £250 - includes all 3 trackdays and 1 instruction session at each circuit

Option 3 - available until 1/1/07 - £500 - includes all 3 trackdays, 5 nights accomodation, 1 instruction session at each circuit, channel crossing with Speed Ferries, cold drinks at circuits as well as snack lunch at circuits plus 2 x t-shirts.

Option 4 - available until 28/2/07 - £350 - all 3 track days plus channel crossing with Speed Ferries, cold drinks at circuits as well as snack lunch at circuits plus 2 x t-shirts.

Option 5 - after 28/2/07 all 3 track days will be available at Dijon (£150), LL (£99), Charade (£99).

WHEN BOOKING PLEASE ADD THE RELEVANT OPTION

We are limiting to 50 cars for the full trip - but will allow 60 cars at Dijon.
