SIDC at KH, Saturday 15th September

Post by JohnStewart » Mon Aug 06, 2007 3:32 pm

Just a quick reminder about our next event at Knockhill on Saturday 15th September from 9am to 1pm.

Free track instruction available if required, and also the wheel/tyre changing facilities from Wheels Around.

Since our last event on the 28th July, places have been selling rather briskly, so I'd recommend booking up now if you don't want to end up on the reserve list this time around.

http://shop.sidc.co.uk/prodView.asp?idproduct=442 to book online.

Cheers

John

I'm ashamed to admit that I'm still a track virgin! :thumbsdown
I've been thinking about getting on the track for a couple of years, but before taking the plunge I'd like to come along just to watch and get a feel of what to expect.
Is it OK to just pitch up and watch one of these events and maybe have a chat or will I still need to book?

doesnt cost you anything unless some kind person takes you out for a pax and you need to hire a helmet.

look for someone climbing out of a lotus and go up and chat to them! :thumbsup

so just turning up and watching / chatting is ok then?

I'd like to get into some track day / possibly hillclimb & sprint kinda stuff (although maybe not in my Elise) and am a bit unsure of where to start. This seems as good a starting point as any I suppose!

'18 Mazda Mx5 - The wife's, so naturally my daily

Turning up and chatting is required behaviour ;)

I'll often pop over from the other side of the country if I've got nothing on, even if not going on track, for a chinwag.

Don't worry about coming across a bit strange, just wander over to someone climbing out of a Liz and introduce yourself! Then get in a passenger (pax) seat and find out what they can really do! (Unless it's DDtB driving...)
