For those of you that don't know, Kames is near Muirkirk in East Ayrshire. It's roughly a 20-30 minute drive down from Strathaven (excellent road) or from Galston (another excellent road) through Sorn.

It's a cheap night - about £10 for 'unlimited' access to the track.

Hopefully I'll have an Elise by then... :)

It's pretty relaxed. Things kick off around 6pm and last until it's too dark to see or you get bored! There's no big deal about lap timing if you want to do it yourself, but it isn't done 'officially' (otherwise it would invalidate the insurance).

Where are you travelling from?

Cool, not fussed about the timing thing - just wondering as the last one of these i did was in alford and that was against the stopwatch....

I'll be working in st andrews so wont arrive until 7ish at the earliest...

I would have loved to do that but car is still goosed :( I used to marshall at Kames, back in the day where you didn't need any qualifications. it was great you got the best seats and a free roll and sausage.

If I'm not in York I'll be up for this - would need to trailer the car though as the tax is up tomorrow and the rubber's getting a bit thin on the rears.

Just get Louise to do it by herself then. I'm sure she wouldn't mind if it means you doing a car thing for a change.
