Post by skellyjohn » Wed Apr 19, 2006 5:09 pm

I need n/s/f and n/s/r 6 spoke alloys for my s1 111s. The 2 that are on are buckled. If you have any or know who does, gimmie a shout.

I managed to badly buckle the front passenger side in November and spent ages looking for a replacement. In the end I had it fixed by a guy in deepest darkest Lanarkshire who did a good job but it was expensive, £160 including having it powder coated (I think). I have his number
somewhere if you want it.

The 111s wheels are almost impossible to find but I did pick up a spare rear, with a buckled front thrown in, on e-bay a couple of months back. I am keen to hang on to them, just in case, but you are more than welcome to have the good one (and the bad one if you want it), for as long as you need.

Keep an eye on e-bay.

Graham

I've only just realised that the 111s is a different size. I was going to shell out on 4 nice shiney black ones on ebay (willb off seloc) but now I'll have to think again. Is there much of a difference? Will my tyres that I've got on it not fit?

Graham, try and dig that number out if you can and maybe I'll take you up on the offer of a loan of a wheel till I get it back.

I've not seen you about town. I've got a titanium s1 111s as well. East end of Glasgow.

I think the 111s back wheels are half an inch bigger than standard at the back but are the same at the front. I’ve heard that the tyres probably will fit but am not sure.

I’m in the poor mans west end, St Georges Cross. Not seen you either but you are very welcome to the wheel if it helps you out. You would probably be able to borrow a spare front from somebody else since they are the same but I suspect that two different sized rears might not be the best idea.

You could always get your existing wheels powder coated in black, the two that are heated for fixing will need re-coated anyway and it would only be £60 to get the other two done. I had actually been thinking that if I managed to pick up another two scruffy ones at some point I might get the second set re-done in black. If you get it done I can have a look and make up my mind whether it looks good with Titanium.

Cheers

Graham

I've used this place in Airdrie to fix a couple of wheels I'd dented on the Merc... worked out at £40 per wheel including fix & balancing..... t'was Jim Dickson in Cumbernauld who recommended them...... might be worth a try too....
