With a heavy heart I've decided to put my S1 Exige up for sale. I really don't want to do this but I can't justify having 2 impractical cars sitting in the garage. I've owned the car for the last 6 years and it has a full service history (by Ricky Gauld in my ownership and Lotus dealers prior to this). Engine was completely rebuilt by Lotus (Hethel) at 17,000 under warranty and has run without fault for the last 6 years. Never tracked in my ownership and always garaged overnight.

Interior: Black Alcantara (recent retrim inc. all dash, handbrake & gear stick panels), aluminium handbrake and indicators stalks, Schroth 4 point harnesses, custom dash panel housing Smiths oil temp gauge and clock, high end Clarion CD player & 6 disk changer. Some wear on the driver's sill panel (did not bother to get this re-trimmed).
Exterior: Original paintwork, good condition - usual stone chips at front and side sills.
Engine: Standard apart from Emerald ECU, Piper adjustable verniers & Edwards stainless steel exhaust with cat replacement pipe (comes with cat for MOT's). Recent rolling road shows a good 190 bhp. Engine uses absolutely no oil. Was rebuilt at 17,000 by Lotus Hethel under warranty and it looks like they did a proper job. FYI... factory Exige and 340R VHPD's were built I believe by Janpseed.
Brakes: Front - custom blue anodised aluminium bells with AP disks, Rear - standard drilled disks, EBC pads & braided hoses all round.
Wheels: Standard Exige black wheels with good Toyo T1R tyres, rear wheels have slight kerbing damage.
History: Full service history incl. every single invoice, receipt, MOT and tax disc. MOT'd till Dec 2009.
No hurry to sell the car so not open to ridiculous offers. If maintained well and kept in a relatively standard condition (i.e. no Honda, Audi engine transplants) these S1 Exiges can only go up in value in the future. This is a rare opportunity to own an original S1 Exige and one of the best looking Lotus cars ever produced.
