Anyone fancy some ice skates?
We took the kids skating a few years back, they seemed to enjoy it... so we all bought our own skates rather than use the hire ones. Then, pretty much straight after that (in a non-skating incident) my wife broke her foot and we have never been skating since!! They have been sat in a cupboard since then.
The kids are too big for their skates now, and Mrs G reckons that her foot's never going to be strong enough to try it again... so no point hanging on to these.
Up first, mine:-
Nike Bauer Vapor Speed, these are an ice-hockey style skate and have only been worn for a single 1 hour session, and are like new. They say they are a '10', but the box states UK 10.5. I'm a size 10 in normal shoes, and they were spot on for me with a thick sock.
They are a very good skate and a bargain for someone at a reduced SE price of just £40.
Next, ladies:-
These are a figure skate style. Very good condition ladies ice-skates from 'ISK8'. These are a size 42. My wife is a UK size 8 and they fit her perfectly. These have only been worn for 3 one hour sessions with the kids.. so very light use.
For £15.. got to be better than paying for hire-skates !!
Next, 2 pairs of kids skates:-
I actually have 2 pairs of these SFR adjustable hockey style skates available. Both sets are used, but still in great condition. They are a great skate for little feet with plenty of growing left to do!
They are easily adjustable from a childrens size 13 up to a normal size 3 by pressing the locking button & sliding to size. Very sturdy, and my kids say they were a lot comfier than the hire skates they had been using before.
Again, for £15 each, must be a better option than paying for hire skates !!
Cheers, Andy.
