Full spec is listed below but the brief for this build was to build an exceptionally lightweight bike capable and lively enough for trails and swift enough for all day ,cross country rides and in current spec I think it's pretty close to that. Part of the fun of bikes for me is building them though so I have to let this one go to help fund the next project.
Greasy Weasel by Andrew Smith, on FlickrFrame - On One Carbon 456, full carbon frame, very light and stiff. Size Medium frame, I'm 5'10" and fits really well. Designed in Yorkshire the 456 geometry is legendary. In matt black finished with gold and silver smithspeed livery and built to celebrate the Lotus Type 72. Frame was helitaped from new, no chips, some scuffs from regular use and full set of smithspeed decals available to replace worn ones where bike carrier rubbed. Thule pro ride carrier used safe for carbon frames.
Fork - Pace RC 40 xcr full carbon forks in bare matt 3k carbon weave finish and gold antistiction coating in excellent condition. UK built 130mm adjustable travel with lockout. Just fully refurbished by Pace factory at a cost of £120. Beautiful, very light forks (1.2kg) and working extremely well after their service. All parts still available form pace and normal servicing reasonably priced. Lighter than anything you can buy currently and far easier to service than an air fork, full carbon and magnesium with some cosmetic cable rub, these would have been >£1000 new
Wheels - Custom built Mavixc717 rims, hope pro 2 evo hubs in gold (limited edition) with double butted black spokes and gold alloy nipples. Hubs recently serviced and wheels true. Quick release with gold hope levers. Currently running tubes, latex front rubber rear.

Stem - FSA carbon stem 60mm (shorter than pictured).
Bar - Trivative Noir UD carbon bar low rise in matching black and gold.
Grips - Wood coloured sponge grips (not pictured) and Hope gold bar plugs. Grips in good condition, plugs scratched from regular use.
Tyres - Summer - Schwalbe Racing Ralph Kevlar folding tyre, lightweigh and fast rolling in matching black and gold (pictured).
Tyres - Winter - Panaracer Fire XC Pro folding kevlar tyre in black and yellow.
Seatpost - Option for 150 Rockshock Reverb hydraulic dropper post, purchased in summer and as new or carbon FSA post at reduced price.
Saddle - Charge Spoon in perforated brown leather with titanium rails.
Gold alloy bolts for bottle cages.
Pedals - supplied with basic flat pedals as I am keeping the time clipless pedals for the new build.
This bike was built to an exception spec an has evolved with no expense spared to fine tune it. Test cycle recommended.
Reduced price posted below for SE
£800 with dropper post
£700 with carbon fibre post
This bike is a true one off and has just had over £500 spent on it to bring it up to standard for many more seasons of biking..
Any questions please let me know. Photos are from not long after the bike was built and so please expect some minor signs of normal use. It would be impossible to build a bike like this for under £2000. Could deliver locally in Aberdeenshire area or pony express but would prefer inspection prior to purchase.
